Rev. Mario Barragan Zamora
Was born in Zamora Michoacan Mexico was at St. Mary’s Church at the end of 2000, worked with the youth group of the church, and was accepted as a seminarian in the diocese of Gary, Indiana. In 2001 he was in the seminary of Mandalay Illinois until 2006 then he was sent to the diocese of Ensenada Mexico where he was ordained as a priest on June 11, 2010.
Rev. Father Jaime Perea
Was born in Zacatecas Mexico was a young man from St. Mary’s Church in East Chicago, Indiana. He participated as an active member of the Legion of Mary and participated in a spiritual retreat in the youth group where he discovered his vocation to enter the seminary in Mandalay, Illinois in 2007 and was ordained a priest on June 23, 2012.
Rev. Father Jaime Perea
was born in Durango, Mexico, Roque was a leader with the Youth Group at St. Mary’s Church in East Chicago, Indiana. Father attended Immaculate Heart of Mary University Seminary in Winona, MN, where he completed a bachelor’s degree. After graduating from college, Father Roque moved to Mexico City to continue his studies in Theology and attended the Conciliar Seminary in Mexico City. Two years later, he moved to St. Augustine Seminary in Toronto, Canada, where he concluded his theological formation and earned a Bachelor of Sacred Theology and a Master of Divinity degree.
On June 12, 2015, Father Roque was ordained a priest by Bishop Donald Hying for the Diocese of Gary in Toronto, Canada.
